Learn How To Become a Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Lodestar Day Resource Center! We believe volunteers are a vital part of our organization and help us to build community.

Let’s get started!

Volunteer Application

Please tell us about yourself and how you would like to volunteer.

Send it to us via email it to volunteer@hsc-az.org, mail it to “Volunteer” at our address (1125 W Jackson), or fax it in to (602) 258 – 4615. We will contact you once we have received your application. If you have questions about our organization and/or volunteer opportunities, please contact us!

Orientation and Tour

Once we have received your application, you will be scheduled for a Campus Orientation and Tour. We will give you lots of information regarding our Campus to help you determine what your interests are and what type of volunteer position will work best for you and your schedule.  The tour and introduction usually takes from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the amount of people and questions.

We are located at 1125 W. Jackson St., Phoenix, AZ 85007.  If you are heading west on Washington (a one way street) you can make a left (south) on to 12th ave and straight ahead you will see the black gates. Go through the gates and park in front. The Lodestar Day Resource Center (LDRC) is the orange building in the middle. Ask for Dawn at the front deskIf you are going to use map quest it is better to put 12thave and Madison as your cross roads.

Placement

Once you have completed your Campus Tour and have determined where you would like to serve, you will be partnered with a staff member for hands on training and help acclimating to Campus culture and procedures.

Training

In addition to the hands on training in your specific area, there will be a engagement tools training to help you learn how to better serve our clients on Campus.  Everyone receives training on our history, services, campus flow, and our clientele.

We appreciate your interest and look forward to meeting you!
